The Violin Fingers Should Hold The Bow Correctly
1. Place your right hand on the table with your palm facing up.
2. Place a pencil in your hand with one end on the top of your little finger and the second end on your index finger.
3. Bend your thumb slightly and place your fingertip (slightly to the right) on top of where your middle finger touches the pencil.
4. Bend your four fingers together and gently hold the pencil, while arching your thumb a little.
5. Flip your hands as they have been done above, turn them over, palms down, and move your finger joints up and down freely.
6. The little finger should not be stiff, but should be loose and stand naturally bent on the bow shaft to offset the weight of the bow at the other end of the fulcrum.
