International Competitions Require Violin Sound
The criteria for evaluating the sound of the violin introductory are generated in accumulation and contrast. When I was learning to play the violin and beginning to learn how to make a violin, I often played with different violins and felt that the sound of this violin was "good" or "bad" than that one. But because the violin is not "too good", the scope of these experiences is very limited. Later, I became a violin making professional, and I was fortunate to study in Italy, so I paid more attention to the quality of the sound. After hearing the performance of some famous pianos, I had a feeling of enlightenment: "The sound of a good violin turns out to be like this". But what should the sound of the guqin

be like this? I participate in as many international competitions as I can, and every time I go live to listen to the games. At first, I felt that the sounds of all the pianos were very close, but after listening to them a lot, I slowly noticed some differences. But the difference is, what kind of sound is good? After listening to many concerts of the winning pianos, I gradually got to know the sound of some violins that everyone considers "good". I think every competition, every judge. The requirements for sound are very different. So I came to the conclusion that "the sound of a good piano", although there is a rough outline, there is actually no fixed standard. Most of the international violin making competitions held in different countries invite the best performers from their own countries to play and evaluate the sound of the violin, and there is an obvious regional aesthetic concept, so it is very important to understand the sound aesthetic concept of the host country when preparing for the international violin making competition.
